Hi friends!
Welcome back to the blog! In this review, we’ll be looking at the Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha Green Gas pistol from Extreme Airsoft!
The Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha airsoft replica is the first TTI Combat Master that is an airsoft race gun straight out of the box!
At the front of the pistol, we have a mock compensator barrel complete with a thread for an 11mm tracer unit or thread adapter to enable it to take 14mm. It has a non-tilting barrel design that helps ensure smooth cycling regardless of if the compensator or barrel extension is mounted to the end. Following on, we have a 4.5-inch CNC machined aluminium slide that has all the correct TTI laser engraved markings, which has TTI professional slide lightening cuts that helps the user attain quicker cycling and follow-up shots that match the performance of a full-size Hi-Capa. The slide lightning cuts reveal the bronze-coloured outer barrel.
The Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha also features a CNC machined aluminium frame which has a Picatinny rail on the underside for the addition of a torch and moulded reinforced polymer grips. The grips are aggressively stippled to promote excellent grip even when wearing gloves and in wet conditions. Below this, we can see a flared mag well which helps attain those quick reloads. On the frame, there is also a removable extended magazine release.
It is a green gas pistol that has both semi-automatic and safe firing modes. It also has an adjustable hop-up.
The Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha comes presented in a sleek black branded box and it is easy to remove. On getting the pistol out of the box it has a comfortable weight to it and it feels nice in hand. The finish is of great quality and the construction appears to be sound - unlike some of the other Combat Master airsoft pistols that have been released in the last few years, the Alpha has less of a rattle. What I love the most, aesthetically about the TTI Combat masters is the bronze barrel - it really is a gorgeous colour.
Unfortunately, the optic is not included, but it does have a pre-drilled and tapped frame for optic mounts. It’s important to note that there are no iron sights because of this too. The optic I am currently using on it is the Raven Red Dot Sight which retails for £59.99 and is also available from Extreme Airsoft here.
So it’s ergonomic and looks visually striking but how does it shoot? It shoots consistently and has a pretty good kick to it. It is comfortable to wield and easy to operate/manipulate. It shoots at around 330 FPS (with green gas at around 10 degrees).
I only have 2 gripes about the pistol on how it looks/feels out of the box - I think it looks a little ugly without any iron sights, and the stippled grip is really quite harsh on the skin (but of course this isn’t a problem when wearing gloves).
It is compatible with a range of Hi-capa aftermarket parts and accessories including the Deadly Customs Signature Hi Capa Kydex DC1 Series Holster.
In the box, you get the Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha GBBP, an extended 42 + 1 round magazine and the all-important manual. From Extreme, the Jag Precision x Taran Tactical International Combat Master Alpha GBBP is £214.99, but you can use my code ‘femmefatale23’ for 5% off!
